Inside a group

Discussion

Posts, polls, video, images, threaded comments and six reactions. Pin what matters.

Courses

Attach courses to the group. Members get Discover, Enrolled and Wishlist views of them.

Events

Live sessions on a date, online or in a room. Members register from inside the group.

Members

The roster, with presence, level and role. Message someone, or open what they are in this group.

Leaderboards

Last 7 days, last 30 days and all time.

About

What a visitor sees before they join. The gallery, the highlights, the guidelines and the price.

Settings

Pricing, roles, levels, privacy, coupons, join requests and invites.

Events

Get everyone in the same room

An event is a group session with a date on it. Run it online or in person, keep it free or sell the seats, and let the group handle who turns up.

Online

A start time, a capacity and a meeting link that goes out the moment someone registers.

In person

A venue, a map pin and a headcount, so you know how many chairs to put out.

Free or paid

Charge for a seat or open it to everyone. Paid seats settle into the same balance as your sessions.

Reminders

Everyone registered gets a nudge before it starts, in their own time zone.

Pricing you set

Free
Anyone can join without paying.
One-time
A single payment buys lifetime access.
Subscription
Members are billed on a recurring cycle, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.

Changing the model later does not affect anyone who already subscribed.

Who gets in is your call

Public
Listed on Discover and returned by search. Anyone can find and open it.
Private
Hidden from Discover and search. Reachable only through a direct link or an invite.
Approve every request
New members wait for you to accept them. On a paid group, nobody is charged until they are approved.
Ask questions before joining
Up to five questions applicants answer before their request is sent.

Taking part is the point, so measure it

Points are earned by posting, commenting and reacting. Points add up, and they move a member up the levels. Set the thresholds and the titles yourself.

Roles, described exactly

Owner
Set the group up. Can do anything in it, pricing and payouts included.
Admin
Runs the group with the owner. Everything except pricing and payouts.
Moderator
A role you can assign, described as looking after posts and comments. The management views currently gate on owner and admin.
Member
Everyone else. Posts, comments and takes courses.

Starting one takes two fields

Name it and say what it is for. Pricing, cover art and members come after, from the group's own settings.

Before you can publish
An access model with a price, a group logo, a primary language, and at least one topic.
Until then
A group starts as a draft, so nothing is public until you publish it.
