Writing is the cheapest introduction you will ever make

Three good articles will do more for your bookings than any amount of posting. Here is why, and what to write first.

Nobody books an hour with a stranger. They book an hour with someone whose thinking they have already read and agreed with.

Write the thing you keep explaining

If you have said the same paragraph out loud four times this year, that is your first article. You already know it is useful, because people keep needing it.

It also gives your next session somewhere to start. Send the article beforehand and the hour begins after the explanation instead of during it.

Be specific enough to be wrong

Advice that could not possibly be disagreed with is advice nobody remembers. Name the tradeoff, name the case where your approach fails, name the thing you changed your mind about.

Readers trust the person who says what they do not know. Everyone else sounds like a brochure.

Let it work while you sleep

A post disappears in a day. An article sits on your profile and keeps introducing you for years, to people you will never meet on a feed.

That is the whole argument for long form. It is not that it is better writing. It is that it keeps working.

Reading is the cheap part

Find someone who has already done what you are trying to do, and put an hour of their experience against your problem.
